The BASSIN family history forum is now on line and under going site installation. Here we hope you will find a ever increasing number of contacts and sources of information. It is heavily dependent upon the activities of contributors powering this forum with information.
Family tales and stories past from older generations can lead the genealogist a merry chase in the hunt to find one's family history. You are encouraged to relate your history, both confirmed and suspected in the hope that others may learn from your efforts and in turn help you.
Shortly the web discussion forum will be up and running
It is strongly recommended to place SURNAMES in upper case and also write dates in the format of 12Jun1901 as to avoid day and month reversals.
A DNA project for the BASSIN and associated families although with an initial primary location ex Europe it is open to all and their descendants who have migrated world wide. There are some with Jewish connections for these families. In any case it is open to all those who have the interest in this area. The requirements for the DNA project is to trace members of a family that share a common surname. Since surnames are passed down from father to son like the Y-chromosome, this test is for males taking a Y-DNA test. Please follow the link for more information.
